Just got news that some worthless pieces of shit went back to the trails and one claimed to the people that had shovels in hand, " I'm ridding before I dig. You guys have a years worth of digging before you catch up to me" then ran his mouth for 2 more hours about how 4 years ago he went back to the trails and found them. Then told all about how he built and jumped things that didn't exist yet or were in complete ruins. Then they left after he and his douche bag friends (which apparently are the same morons that watched me build an entire landing, called them ramps, then left after I told they cant ride) drove up and down the main neighborhood roadway mud bogging. If I happen to run into you at the park, because you know you cant ride anything at the trails, I will inform you that you are not welcome and give you another knee brace.

WTF happened? The last post was 6 months ago? I guess I have been a bit busy with a new beautiful baby girl. That fall trip back to Posh happened and it was awesome, other than that I guess we went into hibernation. Spring has brought revival to the trails, some new helpers are with me getting dirt moved, finally some new lines getting put in place. As long as the ground is soft, we'll keep plugging away. Good things to come.

Well its that time of year.......
Its been said for about a month now, the time of year when the holidays come around and bring the foulest weather we can imagine. Hopefully everyone took full advantage of the nice weather we have been blessed with. With wintry mix in the forecast for the next week it looks as if the tarps are on for good and we will have to suffer through winters cold dead grasp. On, what I hope wasn't the last trail outing, I traveled solo out to my good friend Scott Towne's place to enjoy Birdland one last time. Luke the Lotus came out and we both managed to make our bikes nearly useless on our first runs, thankfully Scott has a plethora of extra cycles. Luke actually decided he was better off riding without a chain on his bike while I opted for Scotts street/park bike. The day was awesome and cant wait for spring already.

Well thanks to the wonderful Michigan weather I do believe that every single trail jam planned for this weekend has been canceled.

Its that time of year when we are forced to spend more time inside, cold shitty Michigan is here and we either pick up the bottle or we hop in a car to go ride something we normally wouldn't. And since Michigan has only a handful of parks to ride/skate the car rides will get longer. Rays will be a steady constant I'm sure but this winter will need some good breaks, look for some trips down south where wintry hell does not exist. Riding trails in December and February is some thing that must be done. Jeremy Ball called and said he wants to do a mini midwest road trip in December so I will try to keep updates on any developments, should be a fun time.

Latest News: Jeff, aka Snake, aka Poncho is on the 15 day DL.

In a strange chain of events Poncho has severed the tip of his finger off in a tribute "thriller" dance to the passing of the King Of Pop.

Once news broke of the sudden passing of Micheal Jackson, Snake felt that the best way to honor his fallen idol was to do the popular dance from the "thriller" video.

Jeff under estimated his lanky self in proportion to the low hanging light fixture above.
The light won the dance off and kept the finger tip.

One more reason to not touch his bike and drink. Cheers to you!

We finally made it out to PBR Trails out in Brighton. Pat and Snake have a new helper and the trails are coming along. With the help from Chuck these trails should be bangers in the coming months, as long as Snake doesn't puss out. Jasper came out to take some photos and get made fun of for his awesomely gay seat position on his "purple sasparilla".

Tragedy hit the Lasing skate park this past Thursday.
Local shredder and Malcolm Forbes hater, "Skater Paul" past away as a result from injuries suffered at Raney Park, He was only 36. Liked him or not he was a bad ass and I always enjoyed hanging out with him when I was there. If you rode a bike or got in his way at the park you know who he is. He was the guy to put you in your place. He let you ride there without a fuss if you were not a dumb kid talking shit. R.I.P.

LANSING, Mich. - A 36-year-old skateboarding enthusiast has died from severe head injuries he suffered while attempting a jump at a Lansing skate park family members said he helped build.

The Lansing State Journal and WLNS-TV report Paul Maxim died over the weekend, several days after the crash at Ranney Skate Park. He collided with another skateboarder and eventually struck his head on the concrete.

Maxim was not wearing a helmet. Skaters who knew him said he never did.

Lansing fire spokesman Steve Mazurek says a helmet would have saved Maxim's life.

Since Kyle sucks at life i dug deep into the memory banks to find the password of this out-dated blog and bring some minor updates. First the Ripshit line of stuff should be arriving shortly, according to Kyle anyway. Pro Cycle should have some new shirts and hats and a few designs are in the works awaiting counsel approval.

Second, riding has been as often as possible with the busy schedules we maintain. Mostly Trails, lots of trails. A few have gone to the FINISHED Biker church skate park in Holt, I have yet to go as it is nearly 100 degrees and see no point in going inside. With that said, did I mention that we have been riding trails a lot? Scott Towne has bee kind enough to let a few jam sessions go down at Birdland, Pat has buttered up PBR, Chuck has Kitty going and there is a few fun spots around K-zoo. Maybe we'll start digging again when a good spot is found, untill then were stuck killing other spots.

This video is from a month or so ago but I think it is neat. During the middle of February Brian went to Cassleberry trails in Florida while on vacation with the family. When there he shot some cool video clips by sitting his camera phone onto jumps and pushing record, then riding to the top of the driveway, then speeding back to hit the jumps. Dudes kinda weird if you ask me, but I edited the clips into a little film, so check it out!

What a nice day... What more can I say about last Sunday? The first day with a temperature of over 60 this spring. Knowing how nice it was suppose to be everyone was pretty excited to go riding. Myself, Brian Block, Luke McGary, Jasper Grahm, Brian Baty, Charles Adkins, and Allen Adams all teamed up for a long day of shredding. Some others meet up along the way.

Most of us got up early and met up at Raney Skate Park in Lansing around 10:00 a.m. It was a bit early, but we wanted to beat the crowd cause Raney is a "NO BIKES" Park. Even tho we usually don't get hassled. Brian even brought his kids along!

Apparently Block learned to manual this winter cause he was one wheelin it around the deep end of the pool and popping back into the shallow. Or maybe its the new modern bike.

Some older local skaters that just like to be dicks for no reason came there and just started talking shit and dropping-in in front of people. Instead of causing to much trouble (after almost fighting one of them) we decide to move on to a new spot. And looking at the clock we had been there 2 and 1/2 hours anyway. Plus Brian was going to go drop his kids off.

Next we went to Holt Skate Park for about 45 mins while Brian takes his kids to my moms house to play with Tyler. Brian got there, we all did a couple more turn bars, then loaded up and went to Mason to hit a curved wallride, the Grainery table top jump and the Mason Skate Park. Joey and Ben tagged along from the Holt Park.

After the curved wall adventure we headed up town to the Grainery where there is a cool transitioned asphalt loading ramp thing. Its been here for a long time and is getting kinda rough throughout the years.

After riding that spot for 20 minutes or so we rode over to the Mason Skate Park to find out... It was still closed! And full to the cooping with water! What the hell Mason, way to budget. So we load up once again and decide to go check out the Miller Trails to see what kind of shape the winter left them in.

The trails didn't look to bad, we walked around and talked about new lines that were passable for a few minutes, then headed over to the quickcrete wedge that Malcolm made a few years back. While riding there for a while and finding neat thing to do around the industrial park luke blasted a nice wall ride. check out the video below. We were all getting pretty tired by this time. And sore as fuck as most of us are getting old. So we decide to head out to Eaton Rapids to end the day

We then decide to head to Eaton Rapids to finish off the day. We went and rode the E-Rap Ramps for about 15 minutes then went out to Baty's house to wined down. Check out Baty's snow plow below. Its priceless, A true Eaton Rapids GEM! We didn't shoot many picture for the day (mainly just of Luke and Brian) but everyone was super stoke to just be outside all day and on a little kids bike pedaling around. Cant wait for next weekend, I hope it is fantastic also.

The sun has finally come. This Friday was the first warm weather session at the local park. Spirits were high (as always), but the riding was a bit rusty. Everybody had a great time tho and was just happy to be out on two wheels. The park needs a lot of work in E-Rap. So any plywood or 2x4's donations would be de-e-e-ecent!!! The seasons just getting started so get out and ride!

On this fine Wednesday it was the first day above 45 degrees since winter, so naturally we decide to have a lunch time jam at Raney Skatepark. We had a huge turn out of, Brian and myself... and it was a bit windy but we had a fantastic time. Peep the footage! (we didn't have a quality camera with us)

RIPSHIT Crew Chenga 2/Ray's Trip

This past weekend the crew went down to Ray's MTB Park for the S&M dealer night. On the way we stop off at Chenga 2 for a few hours. It was a blasty blast! Along on the trip was myself (Kyle Barrows), Brian Block, Luke McGary (The White Lotus), Jasper Grahm, Charles Adkins, Joey Apostal, Brian Baty, and Kody (K O D Y) also tagged along. Jermey Ball met up with us at Rays.

Once we arrived at Ray's and unloaded everybody was super pumped to ride, especially myself, Brian, and Luke because we were entered in the S&M relay race. And I know what your asking yourself... How did we do? Well we fucking destroyed everyone. Pro Cycle/Ripshit 1:35.53 second place was some young fellas from South Park Cycles with a time of 1:39.50 Yes, we beat second place by 4 seconds.... RIPSHIT. What else can I say.

It was Joey's first time to Rays and he loved it (I'm pretty sure he lived in the Subaru park the whole time). Batey also shredded all of Rays but spent a lot of time in the Subaru park with his boy Chase Dehart (long time boys). Koty fell of his bike some how and received 5 stitches in his chin. Jayper didn't break out the camera at Ray's because everyone was having so much fun riding (even tho that old man was getting tired toward the end). Charles took some video while on the trip, we will see if we can get a web edit posted up. All and all it was an awesome road trip, cant wait for the next one!
